Q. How does Joanna find time to run Joanna International activities, be a mom and do all the things she wants to do?
A. The reality is that Joanna is involved in everything and has a cadre of friends, relatives and college interns who work like maniacs helping her.
Q. We have a limited budget, how can we hire you to speak?
A. We have many creative options for those who have a limited budget. I’ve put them on THIS PAGE for your convenience. Don’t worry, if you’re willing to get creative…we can make it work.
Q. Is there a downloadable Press Kit available?
A. Yes, my press kit can be downloaded HERE
Q. Do you charge travel expenses? Isn’t it expensive to bring you in from Czech?
A. Nope. We just include that in the speaking fee. It’s easier for everyone that way. You don’t have to worry about getting stuck with a bill for flight. Best of all, neither of us have to deal with the headache of receipts.
Q. What type of events do you normally speak at?
A. I speak at a range of different events: Expat and cultural events, middle school assemblies, high school assemblies, college events, athletic teams, student leadership conferences, health conferences, women and young girl conferences and seminars, teacher professional development days, and educator conferences. I also do corporate events. In fact, a great way to get my presentation paid for at your school is to partner with a local corporation. I can speak to your school in the morning and the company in the afternoon and the company can cover the tab:)
Q. Any advice for someone wanting to become a speaker?
A. Speak. That’s it. Speak a LOT. Wherever anyone will listen. That, and do it for that right reasons. You have to have an honest desire to help other people. Start with places where they let people speak for free (service clubs, elementary schools etc. If you are REALLY serious about becoming a full-time speaker, go HERE to learn about Youth Speaker University. The program Rocks and that is who I studied with and grew as a speaker. It's awesome.

A. Anything written by Victor Hugo, Shogun, Success is a choice, the Bible
Q. What do you do for fun?
A. Running, Cycling, Swimming, Writing, Cooking, Kayaking, hanging out with my family and friends, and travelling to new places.
Q. What is the BEST part about being a speaker?
A. The opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life. When someone comes up to me after a speech and shared how much it has touched them, made them think differently etc. THAT is what it’s all about.
