Grateful for all of the good things in life
How many times are we blind to the good in front of us because we're looking past it for something better? It's like watching the railroad track your entire life, waiting for a train to come in and never realizing that you're sitting smack in the middle of one of the worlds amazing train stations. Take a second look at your goals. Are they building on the good already in your life? Are you taking full advantage of the strengths you already have? Is it worth giving up what you have for what you might have? In many cases, the answer is "yes." To that we say "Go for it!" with all the enthusiasm we can muster. Those are the meaningful goals. If the answer is "no," try reworking your goals to include ones that compliment your present life rather than substitute for it.
Whatever the answer is for you, we could all use a little more appreciation for the pieces of silver in our lives. This is a big moment for Joanna International as we are really moving forward with reaching more women and that means getting closer to our goal of "changing the world, one woman at a time"
This has been a reflection of mine this weekend because in the midst of growth it's so easy to get caught up working towards the future that we forget about living in and appreciating the present.
Today Micha wanted to be held alot and the way he asks me to hold him just melts me because its so cute listening to his voice and how he is learning to form his words and sentences. Taking time to just relax and hold him today has been such a good feeling... I focused on resting my mind from racing with all of things that needed to be done and remained present in those moments and soaked up all of this baby love that I know will not last forever because our kids grow up too fast.
Being a mom has truly been one of life's greatest gifts and I am so thankful for my sweet angel Micha!
I really must get some pictures of us doing yoga together. He he so cute doing the poses and I am so happy he is learning flexibility at a young age. He is also my running buddy and I can't wait for Spring to get here and be able to go out for longer runs and also some fun on the track with Micha!
I have set some big running goals for myself this year. I am decreasing the number of miles for races... focuing on 5-10k and working on developing speed. I hope to break some personal records this summer. And I will keep you posted.
That's all for today my friends, thanks for sharing this blog with me and please share your thoughts and feel free to write me if you'd like to be a guest blogger. I believe in community and want us to grow together through education, love and support!
